I have to admit I watch Extreme couponing. I am amazed at how much they buy and how little they pay. I'm a stay at home mommy of two hyper toddlers so I don't have the time to spend on couponing like they do. I don't think I would get stuff my family doesn't need, but I would love to have a little stock pile of things we do use regularly, especially diapers. I coupon, but not to the extreme. The first time I used coupons I saved ten bucks and it was exciting because that's ten bucks towards something else we need. It feels good to save money.

I am new to the coupon gang and I have a question. Is there an app or a way to find the item that I have the coupon for is on sale or the cheapest at that time. If not ill have to depend on the sales papers to see when that item goes on sale. If you have any advice on how to keep it all organized when u r not sure when or if it is on sale. One more question related to getting 2 Sunday papers, can u use more than one coupon at a time for the same thing?
Thanks,Michelle

Hi Missy, Winn Dixi will price match, right now they have the store card linked with Shell so every $50 in spending will get you .05 cents off a galon of gas, so I go through all of the other circulars find great deals, make sure I have coupons for everything and then buy those items at WinnDixi. Also you can call the companies you like, tell them you love their product and please send you some coupons, and they will! You can also look up the companies online, sometimes they have online coupons you can print ( but you can only print 2 of the same coupons from one computer) also check out smartsource.com, redplum.com and shortcuts.com fpr free printable coupons.

Hi Jacky. Well I work at a grocery store so what our policy is you would end up getting for paying for one and getting three free. So you buy one set and get one free and then buy another set and get one free so your coupon would work to where the second one that you were buying you would get free because of the first set that you bought. Understand?

Patience is very crucial and organization is extremely crucial. When you buy your Sunday circulars don't begin cutting coupons you use immediately. Write the date on the front cover of Smart Source and Red Plum and then file them in an accordian style folder, a box, or whatever way you choose. Choose a site that shows you the deals for your store(s) - such as COUPONMOM.COM When you go to her site you have to join, and then you click on GROCERY DEALS BY STATE. Choose your state and then your store(s). When the list comes up click on the down arrow at the far right of the screen, which pulls all the FREE items up first and then the highest percentage in descending order. I NEVER buy products that are under 50% off.
Don't buy what you want, buy what you need or what is on sale at the store you frequent. Circle the items that are on sale and then see if you have coupons to match it (most of the time the site does all the work for you, but they don't catch EVERY deal.) You really need a good, sturdy binder to keep the coupons you cut in. I have 7 categories which are aligned by how the store is laid out. 1st - Meat/Produce 2. Baking/Cereal 3. Canned Goods/Condiments 4.Pet Products. 5. Household Products 6. Toiletries 7. Dairy/Frozen. Some people prefer to have 25+ dividers, but I find that having fewer dividers is far easier - minimalism is key to me.
There are many sites that will show you how to set up a binder and you can even buy binders that are ready made for coupons. You will find what works best for you. You will also begin to practically remember all the coupons in your binder because you will go through it so often. NOT cutting coupons is the best way to go, but there ARE times you do have to cut and/or print. Also, WalMart carries a magazine called AllYou which typically has 25+ coupons, so I always cut and file them right away.
When I said you don't want to cut coupons I meant that you don't need to cut all the coupons when you get the Sunday circulars. You will save yourself a lot of time if you use your favorite website to find the stores with the rock bottom prices that also shows you which circular to find the coupon and what date it came out.
I shop at Kroger, Publix and WalMart and it only takes me about 30 minutes each Sunday to print out my list for each store and then find the coupons. I have legal size envelopes with the name of each store written on them, which is where I put my print out and coupons. I write the amount of coupons I have beside the items I will purchase. You can either use the print out as your grocery list or make a separate one. I usually write the names of items I need to purchase at each store that I know I don't have a coupon for, yet I need the item. Face it, there ARE items that we need that we may never find a coupon for.
I am not fanatical about couponing. I won't be stubborn and say "By golly, I just won't buy anything without a coupon." This is just not practical to me. You will find that most coupons are for processed foods and toiletries; and I'm sure you noticed that on the show EXTREME COUPONING as well. I prefer to NOT eat processed foods, but I DO buy them if they're FREE or nearly free. There may be a time that I may have to eat the products, and I do donate them to my church. But toiletries are a whole other subject; who doesn't need them? My kids know they will always get scads of toiletries in their Christmas stockings!
Please contact me if you have further questions/comments.
Blessings.

Brenda,
Since you life in FL you should have Publix stores in your area, right? If so, you will find GREAT deals there because they allow you to stack coupons. E.G. You have one mfgr coupon for a box of cereal, 1 Publix coupon,1 coupon from Target, 1 coupon from another store like Kroger, 1 Smart Source coupon, which are typically the 'BLINKIES' you find throughout the store that are in front of certain products with red lights blinking and it spits out a coupon after you have pulled one, and/or Catalina's, which comes after your cash register receipt from your last visit to the store. So, we have 6 coupons for one items, so nine times out of ten you will get that item FREE or even make money on it. (You don't actually get the money back, but it does come off your tax). They also have their own Advantage Circular that you find when you enter the store where the grocery carts are located. Those circulars are full of Publix coupons which can be used with all the other coupons I just listed. Get 7-8 of the circulars and keep them until they expire because you WILL use them every week to get items you need or can donate. You can learn how to shop very effectively at Publix by going to the site I recommended.
If you shop at Whole Foods they accept coupons and you can log onto their site to print them. Some stores like Sam's, Costco and B.J.'s accept mfgr coupons along with their coupons.
Good luck. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Go to couponmom.com and watch her video tutorials and print her eBook, which gives you indepth details about how to use coupons.
